It's been several months since my husband's facelift surgery at Ruby Plastic Surgery, and looking back, choosing Ruby was one of the best decisions we made. Most importantly, we are beyond happy with the results. The facelift looks very natural, and the swelling during recovery was surprisingly minimal. Many friends and family have commented on how refreshed and youthful my husband looks. I recently had an inverted nipple correction done at Ruby, and my experience was great from start to finish. I decided to get the procedure because I want to have children in the future, and I’m preparing early for breastfeeding by fixing a potential issue ahead of time. For about three years, I've wanted to get surgery to help reduce the size of my jaw since the shape was fairly square and big. My face shape/size was probably one of my biggest insecurities, so I also wanted to choose a good clinic with a skilled doctor for my procedure. I was considering a few clinics for facial contouring and narrowed down my choices to two: Ruby and another clinic. Ultimately, I chose Ruby after carefully reading through what information they had on their website + checking who their head doctor was. I was also quite satisfied after getting to speak to Dr Hu Jungwoo during my consultation. My English consultants, Jenny and Victoria, were very kind and helpful throughout my entire surgery process—they stuck with me from the first in-person consult to keeping in touch with me post-op. More importantly, I never felt super lost or during my visits to Ruby, which is pretty important considering I was a foreigner in Korea. My questions and concerns were acknowledged and addressed (even when I was in heaps of discomfort the day right after surgery). For the surgical process, I don’t remember much beyond the moment I received general anesthesia. Afterwards, I’d woken up in my bed feeling a sense of discomfort, but no extreme pain. Obviously, my whole face was wrapped up and I couldn’t feel true sensations in the surgical areas. It took a while before I could drink some water through a syringe and start eating liquid foods after I left the hospital. The most challenging part of recovery was trying to fall asleep the first week post-op. Having to eat mostly plain porridge was also pretty difficult since I missed out on all my favourite foods for a while. Sleep was only hard since I could never manage to have a full night’s rest; I was always trying to stay in my elevated position and breathe as well as I could with the discomfort I felt around my jaw. Once 2 weeks passed, I felt okay to go out more often and even eat foods beyond plain porridge. At the 1 month point, which I am at now, I honestly feel almost fully recovered. The main symptoms I feel now from procedures are the loss of sensation in my chin and not being able to open my mouth fully wide. I’m able to eat solid foods now, but still avoid chewy and super hard foods. I can wear makeup and my face is far less swollen than it was initially. My new face shape is already starting to reveal itself and I’m quite satisfied. Looking back, I have no regrets about choosing Ruby for my long-awaited facial contouring surgery.

This was my third visit and the experience has been consistently great! From booking the appointment to the treatments itself, Jiyu was so prompt in assisting me and had everything organised and well taken care of.
