The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

暇があったのでフォーシーズンズホテルのSPAに行き、以前からやってもらいたかった施術を予約しました。医師は診察の際に大きな鏡を持ってきて、分析しながら私に自分で見てもらいました。指で私の顔をなぞりながら、この部分には何をするのが適していて、あの部分には何をするのが良いかを説明してくれました。とても直感的で、他の店舗のように口頭だけで説明されるのとは違いました。医師は施術前に私の肌の検査報告書を丁寧に確認した上で、顔にマークをつけてくれました。全体的に時間はかかりましたが、一つ一つの手順が非常に正確でした。施術後も目立った赤みや腫れはなく、技術力は本当に高いです。病院の隣には小さな公園があり、施術が終わった後そこで少し休みましたが、雰囲気も悪くありませんでした。全体としてとても良い体験で、回復した後の効果が楽しみです。もし効果が良ければ、間違いなくまた利用します。

Had the Korean body scrub service today and was shocked by the strong mold odor. 30 minutes of such an awful smell and staring at the black mold spores scattered across the ceiling. Completely ruined the whole experience for me. Then I learned my husband actually got a bit of massaging while I didn’t, so that also bothered me. I booked this at the Four Seasons expecting better facilities and service but I would’ve been better off booking elsewhere. Would absolutely not recommend.

Obviously a nice facility. Everything is clean and all services are professional, on-time, and all the check-list items are ticked. However, the experience is not enjoyable in the least. While the therapists are all very kind, they are completely unimaginative. They have all memorized the exact same script and process, so there is absolutely no variation / personalization in their service. This has made them completely robotic, totally clinical, and neither emotionally soothing nor physically therapeutic. Worst of all, their version of a deep tissue massage is basically Reiki - leaving you feeling like you had almost no benefit of the experience at all, so you walk out wondering why you paid the enormous price for a wildly sub-standard experience. They will ask you where your focus areas are, and despite telling them every time for a dozen consecutive appointments that it was my lower back, they would spend most of their time on my head, neck and shoulders, which I repeatedly said were fine. Further to this, as a repeat customer during my stay, they might have realized that they didn’t need to explain every step in the process at every visit instead of just seeing me as a frequent repeat customer and adapting to that reality. A well run spa with very good massages.

I was surprised there were only three reviews and overall it was marked as 3.3 stars. I think this was one of my best spa experiences at a very reasonable price. I would go back again in a heartbeat and have recommended friends to go as well. Clean, relaxing and great service.
