HEALING EYE

I got a lasik surgery in Summer 2024. It went quite well but I've been experiencing symptoms of dry eyes after corneal refractive surgery. Actually it'g quite common to have such a symptom, so the intensity of this disease very depends on the individual. What I'm very dissatisfied with, is the post-operative care and response at the clinic. I asked for an invoice detailing my medical expenses and surgery for tax refunds, but it's been over a month and I still haven't received it. I've already followed up five times, and I can't believe how rude and inconsiderate they are. I didn't want to review this but please consider this if you take a lasik surgery in Korea. There're more eye clinic which is very good at doing it while operating nicely!

This was an absolutely fantastic experience. I was super nervous before the Smile surgery, but the team here is extremely professional and hospitable. They make sure you understand exactly what you are getting into and make the overall surgery a breeze. I highly recommend getting lasik or smile here. If you don’t speak Korean, I recommend finding a translator to come with. If you contact their office they will recommend translators

機器は比較的新しく見え、視力検査のプロセスも以前行った眼科より丁寧でした。医師は検査結果に基づき、レーザーと眼内レンズ挿入の違いなど、複数の矯正方法について説明してくれ、単一の選択肢を押し付けることはありませんでした。全体的なペースは穏やかで、急かされることもなく、とても良い印象を受けました。

They want high volume of clients so don't expect the quality of customer service to be excellent. They go through several assessments. Able to get the surgery done within a day or two. Most staff can't speak English. They could never arrange an English interpreter. Only the doctor could speak English. They rush through most assessments and never explain or provide information in detail. They want to get the assessment and surgery done as soon as possible and move on to other clients. You only get about 5 minutes with the doctor and even then it was minimal information. Shortest health consultation. Cheaper than other countries but plenty of other cheaper options in Korea. Better to find a less busy clinic that provides quality care. After the nex day and one week post surgery check-ups, there is no need to go back again. They charge expensive fees and don't care about follow-up check-ups. Better to go to another opthalmologist for check-ups. They also try to sell eye drops, post surgery care products and unnecessary supplements.

Quick, clean, and efficient 1 day LASIK, SMILE, and ICL. Took about 5 hours from check in and all the eye exams to consultation then operation and post surgery check up and go home. They had 2 friendly mandarin translator who was working hard to provide translation for 5+ mandarin speaking customers. Unfortunately they don’t seem to have any English translators and the optometrist performing the surgery understood English but wasn’t comfortable speaking. And a lot of their instructional pamphlets between korean, English and Chinese were suppose to be the same but there was a few discrepancies between each languages. (For example one language would say you can’t shower for 3 days after operation, but in another language it’ll say 7 days.) Just important paperwork and instructions seem to not all align making post operation instructions confusing. Luckily I was able to ask the doctor and reconfirm a lot of post procedure details. Agreement paperwork was only available in Korean and mandarin , I had to insist reading and signing the liability form in English because my mandarin reading is not proficient enough and it took them another 1-2 hours to prepare an English version. Optometrist in charge of my operation was very nice and would answer all my questions. Post operation you’re not allowed to swim, drink alcohol, perm hair, and no playing sports or gym for 2 weeks to 1 month. Operation was a success. Be prepare for a quick, less than 1 hour check up after the procedure the next day. I agreed to leave this review in exchange for compensation but I tried to keep this as unbiased and honest as I could.

Have went to do the dry eye treatment as I see social media on it. Very nice and posh place. The male eye doctor is very nice and friendly. Definitely not those snobbish kind. Very patient in explaining in details and even talking about cost. He don’t rush through the procedure and speak nicely to you. Tell you the non surgical procedure way and also the surgical way and don’t push sales to you. Highly recommended. I almost sleep during the dry eye treatment! The electronic shoulder massage is really good 👍👍

The 10th and 11th floor of the 808 Building are the hospital floors for the hospital. The representative doctor Sunyeong Kim, Yongeun Lee and related staffs endeavour to make detailed and through explanation for both of the young and old generation patients who need different style and accessment of medical treatment. Most of young generation aged 20s and 30s visit here mostly for the vision correction surgery represented by the LASIK and LASEK. The upper age generation patents mainly visits the clinic to ask medical consultation and surgery for the cataract and glaucoma which are the most common eye related symptoms and diseases during life span of human. The Healing Eye clinic also provides medical services for foreigners or tourists for the medical tourism purposes. The representative doctor Sunyoung Kim also assists those patients who need medical explanation in their mother tongue to promote rights as medical to select the most rational and stable medical decisions of their eyes. The clinic have the certificate issued by the Ministery of Health and Welfare proving that they are eligible to provide medical treatment and service for aliens outside South Korea. The foreigners can also visit the hospital while making their way to Gangnam station which is around 10 minutes of distance from there.

O came here to accompany my cousin's husband whose eyesight is very bad, minus 8 something with cylinder minus 2 something. My cousin's husband is considered as foreigner so no insurance applied. He got examined with several equipments, the examinations themsves took like 30 mins, the result, he must got lasex treatment instead of lasix treatment because his eyesight is so bad, that it is out of the limit for the doctor to do lasix. He decided to do it. The surgery itself was only 5 min, but it took overall maybe 20 to 30 min.. He got severals eye drops including pain killer. Will come back 5 days after surgery. Everything is good except that the staffs cant speak English well. I can speak Korean fluently but for someone who cant speak Korean, this could be stressing.
